Tertiary Butylhydroquinone(TBHQ), CAS# 1948-33-0, is a aromatic organic compound manufactured through chemical synthesis, available as white to off-white crystallized powder. Tertiary Butylhydroquinone is widely used as antioxidants. It is widely accepted as safe food additive in many countries with E number E319.
No significant side effects reported. Large doses of Tertiary Butylhydroquinone can pose toxic effect.
