Vitamin C, CAS# 50-81-7, is a a family of vitamin including ascorbic acid and its salts manufactured through two-step fermentation process, available as White or almost white crystal or crystalline powder. Vitamin C is widely used as antioxidants as it acts as a reducing agent to reverse oxidation in liquids. It is affirmed by US FDA as GRAS(generally recognized as safe) and widely accepted as safe food additive in many countries with E number E300.
